Changes to Community membership and Commission
news : 13 June 2024
Thank you for visiting the FAQ page about the proposed changes that were suggested in February 2024.
As a result of feedback and concerns raised, the Board of Church Army have accepted a proposal from Jude Davis that the process of changes should be suspended. This means that for the time being no revisions to membership are being made, and you do not need to be in touch with us by the end of September to respond to our earlier communications.

Update : 25 September 2024
Below is the text of a letter sent to all Commissioned Evangelists and members of the Mission Community.
Letter from Jude Davis, Interim CEO:
25 September 2024
Dear friends,
A lot has happened since I last wrote to you. Over the summer it was wonderful to speak to so many of you in the conversations that took place in Newcastle, Cardiff, Sheffield, London, and Dublin. The conversations have been extremely helpful for me. To hear from so many people has been an invaluable insight not just into the issue of Church Army Mission Community, but on many broader subjects too.
The content of the conversations was varied, we spent time reflecting on the events of the last year, and how we might move forward together to find a better solution. We also spent a good deal of time talking about changes that have happened in Church Army over many years. Whilst pain and sadness were expressed in each conversation there was also hope for the future, and encouragement that Church Army has walked through challenging times before.
I had hoped, that by the end of September, I would be able to let you know who the members of the task group would be. Unfortunately, it is taking a little longer than I expected. In part, this is because I chose to wait until after the recent final conversation, thereby allowing everyone present to make recommendations of people who might form the task group. I’m keen, as I know many of you are, that this group includes voices from across Church Army. I will update you again before the end of October.
One thing that many people said at the conversations was how good it was to be together. If you can, please do join us for the AGM on 28th of November. Further details will be shared in due course, but it is a good opportunity to gather with other people who form Church Army.
Many of you will know that the recruitment process for a new CEO is reaching its end. Interviews are taking place this week. Please pray for all those involved.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Yours in Christ,
Jude
Interim CEO
